I'm a prairie girl at heart — based in rural Alberta, raising three boys and two dogs on an acreage, and genuinely believing that fairness isn't something you negotiate away.

I graduated from UVic Law in 2011 and spent five years practicing family law in a firm setting before stepping back in 2016. Honestly? I was burnt out on the way traditional practice worked — the adversarial culture, the inaccessibility, the sense that the system wasn't really built for the people caught inside it. So I stepped away. I spent the next decade managing a non-profit, doing financial advising and coaching, and co-building a private occupational therapy business with my husband.

In 2025, I came back to law on my own terms — and built Koch Solutions to be the kind of practice I always wished existed.

I work fully virtually, which means I'm accessible to people across Alberta regardless of where they live or what their schedule looks like. I focus specifically on agreement-based family law — prenups, cohabitation agreements, marriage agreements, and separation agreements — because I believe most families are better served by a clear, thoughtful document than a courtroom.

I'm especially committed to clients who have experienced or are navigating domestic violence. Accessing justice when you're in that situation is genuinely hard, and it matters to me that those clients have somewhere to turn.

I'm frank, casual, and completely non-judgmental. I'll never blindly follow your instructions — I want to understand what you actually need and help you do the right thing. And I'll argue hard for you when it counts.

Before law consumed my life (twice), I was a piano teacher and accompanist. These days I'm more likely to be found working out, reading, or finding a new project on the acreage. Lifelong Tragically Hip fan.
